Rain Jackets Rain Water Distiller

 

There is a proverb says: drink water while diving. That is, doing several jobs at once.
But for Hyeona Yang and Joseph Noble, this proverb should be slightly modified, to be: wear a raincoat while drinking water.

Yes, two students majoring in Interaction Design, Institute of Copenhagen, Denmark, it succeeded in creating a rain jacket that allows the wearer to drink rainwater that collected in this outfit.
Viewed from the rear, it looks like a slicker raincoat most. There is a large cap and collar with a model of Dracula.
The collar that is the mouthpiece of the collecting rain water and drain into the back of the raincoat.
In this section, the collected rain water then passes through the carbon filter system by using charcoal and chemical purification in order to safe water.

Charcoal which are compounds of carbon can filter the water because it has millions of micro pores and can bind to impurities in the water. Many water purification devices on the market that uses charcoal in its products.
Water that is potable is then accommodated at the waist and around the arm. When the user raincoat suddenly feel thirsty, just grab a straw that is connected to water storage.

Although this idea sounds bizarre, but it could be an alternative when there is a storm that interfere with drinking water supplies.
