Malaysian wildlife officials often claim to see an orangutan smoking cigarettes giving visitors to the zoo. Therefore, these orangutans are now quarantined.
The government shut adult monkey named Shirley was from the zoo in Johor, Malaysia, last week. Shirley and some other animals there are known to live in appalling conditions.
Orangutans were being quarantined in zoos and the other plan will be sent to a wildlife center in Borneo in recent weeks.
Melaka Zoo director Ahmad Azhar Mohammed says, Shirley will not be smoking again because "smoking is not normal behavior orangutans'.
