Members of the Corruption Eradication Commission's Ethics Committee, Syafii Maarif, reveals, there are thugs who threaten the KPK leadership. This threat, continued Syafii, lead to murder.
Discussion of this threat was recorded and the tapes played at the Ethics Commission. Previously it was rumored, KPK deputy chairman Chandra Hamzah and former Deputy Investigation Commission Ade Rahardja received death threats by someone.
The threat is linked to the KPK to investigate corruption cases of former Treasurer Democratic Party, Muhammad Nazaruddin. When asked by reporters about the death threats against the leadership of the Commission, Syafii said, there is a threat that leads to murder.
"That thug, thugs doang. I hesitate to mention. Thugs not thugs threatening if not his name," said Syafii while stating that there is indeed such a threat.
