Inauguration of the Statue of Inventors Sports Basketball "James A Naismith"

A bronze statue was unveiled to honor the inventor of basketball, Dr. James. A. Naismith.

The statue was unveiled Saturday at the Almonte United States on July 23, 2011, the statue was made ​​from funds already collected by Dr.JANaismith Foundation at a cost of approximately $ 50,000.

Dr. James. A. Naismith was actually a person who was born on November 6, 1861, he was an inventor and creator of the rule book beginning of the sport of basketball in 1891.

Naismith also was a study in the medical field in Denver in 1898 before eventually moving to the University of Kansas.
